The Half Marathon Training Program is a 12-week program specifically designed to help prepare runners for their first endurance event and/or to help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal. Get ready to be trained, educated, and moved to successfully and comfortably cross the finish line at a 13.1 mile event. Training will start with a distance of 3 to 4 miles and build up over the course of the program. We are thrilled to share that Mizuno is our program sponsor!

PROGRAM AVAILABILITY | GOAL EVENT Our half marathon training program will begin on July 1, 2014 and run for 12 weeks ending with participants running the Newport Half Marathon event on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 8:30am. You may choose to do a different race in or around the same time frame, and the coaches will work with you to alter your training schedule.
WORKOUT TIMES | LOCATIONS There will be two training sessions per week and seminars periodically throughout the program.
Please wear visible gear (light colors, reflective vests/bands, or blinking lights) during weeknight runs when we do not have daylight.

SUGGESTED ACTIVITY LEVEL PRIOR TO START OF TRAINING All participants should be consistently running 3 miles comfortably at least 3 days per week.
REGISTRATION Registration will close approximately one week after the first training or when maximum capacity of 40 participants has been reached.

KICKOFF FOR REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS AND INFORMATION SESSION The Training Program will kick-off with an informational meeting on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 7pm at Fleet Feet Hoboken (604 Washington Street). We will review specific training information and get you pumped for an incredibly journey. This meeting is open to everyone - registered participants AND those interested in signing up for the program.
