The Fleet Feet Sports No Boundaries 5K training program - Level 2 is designed for runners who have run a 5K before and are looking for a coached training group during the winter months.
There's no time like the present to get up on your feet, start moving, and become a new and improved you. This 9-week safe, fun, and non-intimidating program is designed for people who have run already run a 5K and would like motivation to train during the winter.
Along the way we provide you with motivation, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. There will be pace groups for every level of runner so, you won't be running alone. Training will start with 1 mile and build up to 3 miles.
PROGRAM AVAILABILITY | GOAL EVENT Our No Boundaries - Level 2 program will begin with a Kick-Off meeting on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 and run for 9 weeks ending with participants running the Spring Thaw 5K event on Saturday, March 21st in Jersey City, NJ. You may choose to do a different race in or around the same time frame, and the coaches will work with you to alter your training schedule.
WORKOUT TIMES | LOCATIONS There will be one training session per week and seminars periodically throughout the program.
PROGRAM BENEFITS Every participant receives:
TRAINING GROUPS On the first day of practice, coaches will help determine what pace group best suits your fitness level with an easy, basic assessment of your starting point fitness level.
REGISTRATION Registration will close approximately one week after the first training or when maximum capacity of 30 participants has been reached.
INFO MEETING FOR NON-REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS We are hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 7th at 6:30PM at Fleet Feet Hoboken (604 Washington Street). We will review specific training information and answer any questions you may have about the program. This meeting is open to anyone interested in signing up for the program.
KICKOFF MEETING FOR REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS The Training Program will begin with a Kick-Off meeting on Wednesday, January 21st at 6:30PM at Fleet Feet Hoboken (604 Washington Street). We will review specific training information and get you pumped for an incredibly rewarding journey! This meeting is for registered participants.
